As a Behavioral Support Technician, you will play a vital role in providing guidance, education, and empowerment to both clients and their families.

Your work will significantly impact families with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges.

In collaboration with fellow ABA professionals, you will contribute to creating a nurturing learning atmosphere where children can progress, achieve treatment objectives, and enhance their learning capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children facing developmental delays, ASD, or special needs, demonstrating empathy and understanding of the challenges these families encounter.

As a Behavioral Support Technician, you will partner with families to deliver tailored interventions and foster an environment conducive to their child's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the guidance of the Program Manager, implement in-home and community-based interventions for children diagnosed with ASD.
  • Travel to various locations as needed to provide services.
  • Meet established productivity standards while delivering high-quality service.
  • Complete necessary documentation promptly, including behavioral data collection, treatment notes, and other relevant reports.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and trends in ABA and related fields.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other required gatherings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Qualifications:

Minimum education and experience equivalent to:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or related developmental disabilities preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • RBT Certification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based practices beneficial for children with ASD, including Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) and other methodologies.
  • Experience in providing education and support to families with children facing developmental challenges is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language or other languages is advantageous.
  • Sensitivity to working with diverse populations.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to engage in frequent physical activities, including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
  • Capable of driving to various locations to meet clients.
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 30 lbs as needed.

Conditions of Employment:

  • Must obtain and maintain criminal record clearance.
  • Valid Driver's License and clean driving record required.
  • Must pass health screenings and obtain necessary vaccinations.
  • Ability to obtain RBT Certification within a specified timeframe after hire.
