Human Resource Manager

Wits Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Human Resource Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing the daily functions of the HR department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, and hire qualified job applicants for open positions, collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications, and implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave, disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, and training and development.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations, and support employees when human resources issues arise with efficient problem-solving.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least 1-2 years of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
