Job Title: Senior Litigation Support Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal Manager to lead our litigation support team. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the paralegal staff and ensure the seamless operation of our legal support functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis related to civil rights violations, police misconduct, personal injury, and mass tort cases.
  • Assist attorneys in case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Manage case files, ensuring organization and accuracy of legal documents and information.
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts to gather necessary information for cases.
  • Stay updated on relevant legal developments and assist in case strategy development.
  • Supervise and mentor paralegals, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the paralegal team, ensuring efficient case management and workflow.
  • Collaborate with attorneys to assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of new paralegal staff.

Requirements:

This position requires a bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification. Minimum 7-10 years of experience as a paralegal in pre-litigation and litigation in civil rights, personal injury, workers compensation and/or mass tort is required. Substantial experience as a paralegal with demonstrated leadership in a managerial role is preferred.
