Job Description

As a Software Development Engineer on the WW Fees Seller Experience team at Amazon Stores, you will play a key role in shaping the technical strategy of our products. You will be responsible for designing, building, and testing highly scalable, available, and high-performing low-latency systems using cutting-edge AWS technologies such as DynamoDB, S3, Amazon Kinesis, SQS, and SNS.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with stakeholders and peers to brainstorm, design, prototype, build, test, and iterate on new ideas to build new services and products.
  2. Work with the latest technologies and tools to shape the vision of your tech stack and engineer systems for Amazon Scale.
  3. Write clean, maintainable code and perform peer code-reviews.
  4. Deep-dive into client or server systems to optimize for performance, maintainability, scalability, extensibility as needed.
  5. Learn from others and help grow those in your team.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.

The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
