Procurement Specialist for Research and Development

As a Procurement Specialist for Research and Development, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, components, and services required for new product development projects.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Identify needs and communicate specifications to suppliers
* Source and select products, negotiate price and terms, and manage vendor relationships
* Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to understand project requirements and develop procurement strategies
* Work with suppliers to identify and present opening/licensable tooling options to the R&D team
* Attend KATA meetings to review needs in new and existing products or services
* Facilitate regular meetings and progress updates to keep all parties informed
* Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier development activities
**Requirements:**
* Adept with Microsoft Office software suite
* General Knowledge of the Marine Industry
* Knowledge of Veranda's Products
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
