Key Responsibilities- Test, repair, and overhaul aircraft components using FAA-approved data.
- Conduct drone missions, including demos, training, and flight sessions for prospects and customers.
- Operate category 1 and 2 drones, including ultra-light fixed wings and quadcopters.
- Split time between the shop and drone offsite missions.
- Report to the Shop Lead Technician or Shop Manager and Drone Pilot Team Lead.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Technical college or military training is a plus.
- Ability to follow written instructions approved by the FAA/OEM/Airline EO.
- Willingness to learn new skills and advance within the company.
- Ability to learn the use of multi-meters, hi-pot testers, bonding testers, micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, calipers, and other precision measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of basic test equipment for the position.
- Adaptability and willingness to engage new concepts, processes, and technical capabilities.
- Dexterity with hand tools.
- Understanding of basic test equipment.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English and knowledge of basic math.
- FAA drone part 107 certification preferred.
- A&P certification a plus.
- Drone flying experience preferred (more than 20 hours).
- Ability to travel across the Americas up to 50% of the time over a year.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Knowledgeable, friendly, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new tasks and skills.
- Share ideas to improve processes.
- Respect procedure and be mindful of safety requirements.
- Enthusiasm for offsite missions and contact with end customers.
