The role involves conducting sophisticated diagnostic assessments of cardiac and vascular circulation utilizing echo, ultrasound, and Doppler technology.

CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a well-established 150-bed facility catering to the rapidly expanding region of San Antonio. Our specialized services encompass orthopedic and surgical care, intensive care, women's health, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular services ranging from diagnostics to open-heart surgery, a vascular laboratory, a sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound management, rehabilitation, and more. The campus is also home to an Outpatient Imaging Center and three medical plazas, including one that supports our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Health Center.

Key Responsibilities:


• Conducts ultrasound evaluations of cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to aid physicians in diagnosing circulatory disorders.

• May carry out therapeutic interventions such as pseudoaneurysm compression.

• Accurately documents and maintains test data while preparing preliminary interpretations of results and performing additional assigned tasks.

• Depending on departmental needs, may also perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and various vascular ultrasound examinations.

• Assists physicians with procedures including biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization.

Qualifications:

A. Education/Skills

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program.

B. Experience

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound.

C. Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

  • Required: Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credentials from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT.
  • BLS certification is mandatory.
