Job Summary

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Surveyor to join our team. As a Geospatial Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting land surveys, gathering data, and creating detailed maps and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct land surveys to gather data on property boundaries, topography, and other relevant features.
  • Use specialized equipment such as GPS, robotic total stations, and terrestrial lidar to collect data.
  • Transfer field data to office computer networks and perform research to complete survey drawings.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with data collectors, data collection techniques, robotic instruments, conventional field note-keeping, total stations, and leveling.
  • Experience with or ability to learn the use of 3D scanners.
  • Self-starter with little need for supervision once provided with a work assignment.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and willingness to travel.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of assigned survey projects, including property (land & boundary) surveys, topographic surveys, property stakeout, construction layout, wetlands surveys, terrestrial lidar surveys, and as-built surveys.
  • Proficiency with software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
