Job Summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Physician to join our team. As a key member of our occupational health services, you will be responsible for providing medical care to injured workers, managing their rehabilitation, and providing sick care services for common conditions.

The ideal candidate will have experience in occupational medicine and be knowledgeable in OSHA surveillance requirements. You will work closely with a team of occupational health and urgent care professionals and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides patient care services
  • Assesses workplace injuries or illnesses
  • Supports the leadership team at the assigned workplace
  • Supervises Physician Assistants and APRNs, resident physicians, and other paraprofessional healthcare students
  • Participates in educational activities related to departmental needs

Requirements:

  • Board Certification in internal medicine, emergency medicine, family practice, or occupational medicine
  • At least 3 years of experience in occupational medicine and 3 years in urgent care or emergency medicine
  • Experience in team leadership and supervising PAs and APRNs
  • Valid unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of CT
  • Membership in the Medical Staff of Yale NHH in the appropriate section or one of the Yale NH Health System affiliates
