The mission of HumanWorks Affiliates is to deliver personalized, high-quality services to children, youth, and underserved communities.
This role involves shift work with 12-hour shifts: Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, including evening shifts based on the assigned schedule.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of experience working with children in a group environment, a valid Driver's License, and must be at least 21 years of age.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in the creation and execution of individualized service plans.
- Support residents in completing homework, household tasks, personal care, meal preparation, and engaging in social and recreational activities.
- Exhibit strong report writing and communication skills.
- Ensure the residence, vehicle, and equipment are maintained in a safe and functional condition.
- Assist residents in expressing and fulfilling their needs in accordance with facility policies to promote growth and self-sufficiency.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies as outlined in the treatment/support policies, when necessary.
- Attend all assigned meetings and communicate any changes or updates regarding clients in your care.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable state regulations.
- Complete training and certification in medication administration as per established policies and procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff by responding to inquiries with sensitivity and professionalism, while maintaining confidentiality.
Work Environment:
This position may involve working in residential settings, schools, community facilities, medical environments during health assessments, and various office locations.
