Job Overview

Sephora USA, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Director - Employee Relations Expert to lead our Employee Relations team. This role will be responsible for ensuring positive and proactive employee relations, driving consistency and fairness across the company, and fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity.

About the Role

The Human Resources Director - Employee Relations Expert will work closely with people leaders and cross-functional business partners to develop and implement effective employee relations strategies. Key responsibilities include:
  • Leading 2 direct reports: ERP FSC and ERP DCs.
  • Acting as a neutral escalation point for issues handled by ER Partners or HR.
  • Driving the implementation of employee relations strategies, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Fostering a proactive Employee Relations approach and creating proactive resources (e.g. trainings, employee listening sessions, ER project lead).
  • Enhancing existing ER policies and continuing to build up the ER function.
  • Conducting and leading escalated investigations and guiding direct reports through their own investigations.
  • Traveling as needed to support assigned areas (estimated at 15-20% travel).
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations, in collaboration with the Senior Director of Employee Relations and Employee Experience, and internal employment counsel.

We're Looking for Someone Who

To excel in this role, you'll need:
  • 5-7 years' Employee Relations and HR experience; minimum 4 years direct ER Partner experience; prior retail experience preferred.
  • Exemplary issue resolution skills with the ability to effectively communicate across executive leadership.
  • Ability to act as an impartial factfinder and serve as a neutral bridge between the company and employees.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and flex and adjust in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Highly collaborative style and willingness and demonstrated ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to build strong partnerships.
  • Ability to coach and develop others.

What We Offer

This position comes with a competitive annual base salary range of $147,730.00 - $165,000.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
