Position Details:
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Financial Operations Manager to enhance our finance team. This role will play a crucial part in overseeing the financial activities of our organization, which includes generating regular financial reports, maintaining a robust accounting system, and implementing controls to minimize risks while ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in financial planning and corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Facilitate the preparation of regulatory documents, including SEC submissions.
- Assist in crafting and enforcing financial policies and procedures.
- Contribute to budget preparation and financial forecasting, reporting any discrepancies.
- Engage in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
- Generate and distribute monthly financial statements promptly.
- Coordinate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
- Support tax planning and compliance efforts, including corporate income, sales and use, property, and other local taxes.
- Manage compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax submissions.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline required; CPA or MBA preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a solid grasp of GAAP.
