Job Title: Sr Principal Analysis/Architect Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Sr Principal Analysis/Architect Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, FL. This position will be responsible for designing and developing hydraulic systems for aircraft, including trade studies, layouts, architecture definition, system test and verification, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing responsible engineer activities, including all aspects of hydraulic system/component design and development.
  • Participating on a subcontractor management team and acting as the technical point of contact with suppliers for hardware development, qualification, and procurement.
  • Performing system related analysis, such as performance simulation, in support of the development of the hydraulic subsystem.
  • System level test planning, execution support, verification, data processing, and troubleshooting.
  • System level evaluations to verify requirements and ensure airworthiness criteria are met.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in a related STEM discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; OR MS in a related STEM discipline and 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Must have professional experience related to the development and integration of hydraulic systems in either commercial or military aircraft applications.
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Master's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering with focus on thermodynamic, fluid mechanic and/or heat transfer disciplines.
  • Experience with aircraft subsystem development, with requirements definition, specification development, component analysis, procurement, source selection, integration and test and verification for advance aircraft.
  • Experience performing thermodynamic, fluid mechanic and/or heat transfer analysis related to military/commercial aircraft and subsystems.
  • Experience modeling fluid systems utilizing Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink, Thermal Desktop, Flomaster, and/or STAR-CCM+ software.
  • Experience with the military airworthiness certification process using MIL-HDBK-516.
  • Experience interpreting component detail drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test procedures.
  • Experience in supporting pursuits and proposals, including generating, reviewing, and approving technical proposals and BOEs.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership related to integrated product teams, including supplier and customer (internal and external) relations.
