Speech Pathologist/Audiologist Specialist 2 Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist/Audiologist Specialist 2 to join our team at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement effective communication programs and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement formal communication programs and interventions to address identified communication needs for clients with intellectual disabilities.
  • Provide individual written assessments and evaluations for clients with speech, language, or hearing disabilities.
  • Evaluate and monitor clients with dysphagia, and develop accommodations and interventions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement intervention programs that support team-identified priorities.
  • Design and construct adaptive equipment for communication, and evaluate and acquire communication devices as needed.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Audiology or Communicative Disorders, or equivalent.
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
  • Two years of experience as a speech pathologist or audiologist is preferred.
