Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at Whitsons Culinary Group. As a Food Service Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of food, including cooking, serving, and cleaning.
  • Serve meals to students and staff, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Handle cash transactions and operate a computerized POS system.
  • Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
  • Fills beverage machines and sets up hot and cold food areas.
  • Delivers food to staff, students, and catering events as needed.
  • Prepare and serve food according to menus and state and federal guidelines.
  • Check and store incoming deliveries and supplies.
  • Collect and strip trays for dishwashing.
  • Store silverware, dishes, glasses, cups, pots, pans, and other equipment.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and attend all mandatory in-service programs.
  • Support the goals, objectives, and mission statement of Whitsons Culinary Group.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to speak and read English to understand and perform job assignments.
  • Extensive physical demands, including lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling.
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
  • Ability to present a positive and professional image at all times.
  • Basic English reading and writing skills.
  • Able to pass background screening.

Pay Rate: $15.00/hour
