Position Title: Project Support Engineer

Position Overview: Emcor Inc. is in search of a Project Support Engineer to bolster the Project Management team across various assignments and locations. The Project Support Engineer plays a crucial role in aiding the Project Management Team to achieve the Company's objectives, which encompasses ensuring that projects are executed safely, punctually, within budgetary constraints, and in accordance with contract specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding project support to both team members and clients.
  • Assist in the execution and oversight of project contract terms.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and spreadsheets using computer software.
  • Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with the entire project team, including Project Foreman, Project Manager, General Contractor, Architect/Engineer, and other subcontractors.
  • Generate, manage, and facilitate project documentation throughout all construction phases, including requests for information, submittals, drawings, specifications, purchase orders, material orders, change orders, and close-out documents.
  • Conduct material take-offs from drawings to assist in generating estimates and modifications.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, and integrity in all work aspects.
  • Adapt to various work environments and project locations, with potential commuting to different job sites.
  • Participate in and lead meetings as necessary.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as project requirements dictate.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; or 2 years of relevant experience through internships, co-ops, or industry employment.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks, stay organized, and effectively prioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in utilizing a diverse range of software applications.
  • Engineer-in-training certification, Journeyman license, and field experience are preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-up capabilities.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10/30 certification.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet applications, including formulas, and familiarity with O365 and project planning tools.
  • Understanding of change management principles and strategic planning for growth and enhanced performance.
  • Required interpersonal skills include effective oral, written communication, and reasoning abilities.
Physical and Job Site Requirements:
  • Completion of hiring paperwork electronically is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess sufficient strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions outlined above.
  • Capability to navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain.
  • Full range of motion consistent with age is necessary.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders.
  • Must be able to hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from colleagues, alarms, and other job-related sounds.
  • Visual acuity, depth perception, and color discrimination are required for working at heights and on uneven surfaces.
  • Safety footwear is mandatory.
