Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Worker to join our team. As a key member of our nursery staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-7 years.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment, ensuring toys and equipment are stored safely and securely.
  • Provide exceptional care and supervision to children, including feeding, changing, and engaging in play activities.
  • Develop and implement engaging play programs that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in children.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's daily activities and any notable events.
  • Collaborate with other nursery staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation, including setup, cleanup, and maintenance of the nursery.
  • Adhere to The Salvation Army's policies and procedures, including child safety and welfare guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with children aged 0-7 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift and move children and equipment as needed.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
