Welcome to Colorado Mountain College, with its eleven campuses nestled in the breathtaking central Rocky Mountains of Colorado.

Our Vision

Colorado Mountain College aims to be the most inclusive and innovative student-centered institution in the nation, enhancing the economic, social, cultural, and environmental vitality of its stunning Rocky Mountain communities.

The College

CMC is a comprehensive, public, open-access institution offering a wide array of academic programs, including bachelor's and associate degrees, specialized certificates, and numerous online and lifelong learning courses, alongside extensive concurrent enrollment opportunities in collaboration with local school districts.

Annually, over 15,000 students attend CMC, with 40% of degree-seeking students earning a certificate or degree each year. The college's Latinx enrollment has increased significantly, making CMC a federally-designated Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI). CMC courses are designed to be highly personal and experiential, with a maximum enrollment of 25 students per class.

CMC campuses are located in various communities, each serving between 1,000 and 2,000 students, fostering close-knit environments. The majority of the college's funding comes from local property taxes, allowing CMC to be entrepreneurial, mission-focused, and responsive to community and workforce needs.

Colorado Mountain College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and authorized by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education. For general information about CMC, its programs, locations, students, faculty, and offerings, please visit our website.
