About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our Media and Entertainment team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and driving the technical strategy for our global media and entertainment customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with AWS Account teams to formulate a strategy for the adoption of Streaming Media, Broadcast, Production, Post-Production, Personalization, Analytics, AI/ML, and Supply Chain tools within the Media and Entertainment (M&E) vertical.
  • Work with existing and potential customers to deeply understand their business and technical needs, developing solutions that make the best use of the AWS Cloud platform.
  • Collaborate with AWS field sales, training, and support teams to ensure customer success.
  • Exhibit Thought Leadership, evangelizing AWS Services and Streaming Media solutions that benefit customers, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public speaking events.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers and the service engineering teams, providing product improvement feedback to AWS developers and accelerating the adoption of new features in customer deployments.
  • Provide one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to builders considering or already using AWS.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge pertaining to Media technologies among the AWS solutions architecture community.
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
  • Preferred qualification - 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (like SAP Business Suite, S/4HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
