Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Albany Medical Center.

About the Role

The Assistant Nurse Manager is responsible for coordinating, planning, and administering administrative management, financial, and operational duties in collaboration with senior nursing leaders. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication abilities to mentor professional caregivers and facilitate patient access, communication, and transitions throughout the acute care stay.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient care activities and ensure efficient workflow on the assigned primary shift of work.
  • Mentor professional caregivers in delivering high-quality patient care and develop their clinical and leadership skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement policies, programs, and services consistent with the hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing leadership or a related field.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
