Job Summary

The Orderly is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring smooth operations across various areas of the facility. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport patients to and from operating rooms, pre-op, and recovery areas, communicating with OR and pre-op staff regarding procedure status.
  • Assist OR staff with room turnover and patient care as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment by performing routine housekeeping chores, cleaning stretchers and equipment, and monitoring housekeeping logs daily.
  • Order and maintain supplies in pre-op and housekeeping areas.
  • Receive, unload, and distribute incoming orders, verify packing slips and purchase orders, and sort, load, fold, and distribute laundry while maintaining correct inventory levels.
  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation for procedures, properly handle and label specimens obtained during procedures, and run errands to pick up and deliver supplies or other items as needed.
