Position Overview

Job Title: Vice President of Marketing

Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Role Summary:

The Vice President of Marketing will serve as a pivotal leader in crafting and implementing robust marketing strategies aimed at enhancing brand visibility, increasing visitor engagement, and driving revenue growth for Thanksgiving Point. This role will oversee a diverse marketing team, manage multi-channel marketing campaigns, and collaborate with various departments to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Direction
  • Formulate and execute a unified marketing strategy that reflects Thanksgiving Point's vision and objectives.
  • Guide the marketing team in delivering branding, communication, digital marketing, public relations, and customer engagement initiatives.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities to boost visitor attendance and community involvement.
  • Evaluate and report on the success of marketing campaigns, utilizing data-driven insights for ongoing enhancements.
Brand Stewardship
  • Oversee the establishment and preservation of Thanksgiving Point's brand identity across all channels.
  • Ensure uniform messaging and visual representation of the brand in all marketing communications.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling marketing materials.
Digital Marketing Leadership
  • Drive the digital evolution of Thanksgiving Point's marketing efforts, utilizing SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and other online platforms to engage target audiences.
  • Manage traditional marketing avenues such as print, radio, television, and outdoor advertising to maintain a balanced marketing strategy.
  • Investigate innovative technologies and platforms to enhance visitor interactions and engagement.
Public Relations & Community Outreach
  • Establish and nurture relationships with media, influencers, and community organizations to elevate Thanksgiving Point's brand visibility.
  • Develop and implement public relations strategies to shape public perception, address crises, and maximize positive media coverage.
  • Engage with the local community through sponsorships, events, and partnerships that reinforce Thanksgiving Point's role as a community leader.
Budget Management
  • Develop and oversee the annual marketing budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum return on investment.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and performance to ensure quality service and cost efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and oversee projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of marketing initiatives.
Team Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to team members, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry trends.
  • Establish clear objectives, performance metrics, and accountability frameworks for the marketing team.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of marketing experience, with a proven record of success in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing, brand management, and public relations.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and implement innovative strategic marketing plans that drive growth and engagement.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-departmental work.
  • Highly organized with a proactive drive to exceed expectations.
  • Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and vendor relations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Passion for cultural, educational, and recreational initiatives, aligned with the mission and values of Thanksgiving Point.
  • Familiarity with the local market and community engagement in the Utah area.
  • Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms.
  • Experience in the nonprofit, cultural, or recreational sectors is preferred.
  • Must pass a background check.
