As a Commercial Loan Specialist, you will play a vital role in building relationships with business clients by offering lending solutions and product knowledge while ensuring adherence to lending standards and fostering deposit growth. Your responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating and processing business loan applications, ensuring thoroughness and compliance with credit union policies.
- Engaging in business development initiatives to identify client needs and promote our financial products and services.
- Providing guidance to members on business operations and financial strategies.
- Promoting business lending opportunities by reaching out to potential clients and clearly articulating our offerings.
- Cross-selling a comprehensive range of credit union products to current and prospective members.
- Staying informed about lending policies and industry trends to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborating with the Business Lending Manager and team to foster a culture of growth and quality service.
- Building and nurturing relationships with business members, aligning with our service excellence standards.
- Maintaining knowledge of our products, services, and operational processes to better serve our members.
- Organizing member interactions to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Monitoring progress towards goals and seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
- Referring complex loan requests to appropriate team members and scheduling necessary appointments.
- Developing profiles of key business members to understand their financial needs.
- Managing and servicing assigned business loans in line with our policies.
- Addressing member inquiries and resolving issues promptly while adhering to our service standards.
- Documenting all interactions and maintaining confidentiality regarding sensitive matters.
- Participating in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
- Understanding of credit union regulations and policies.
- Proficient in using computer systems and software applications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
- Experience in business lending or related fields is preferred.
