Position Summary:

We are in search of a skilled Accounting Manager. The individual in this role will oversee the company's financial, billing, and payroll operations. Responsibilities include managing general accounting tasks, budgeting, coordinating audits, and ensuring adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This position is crucial for monitoring and reporting financial performance to maintain the company's fiscal health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute accounting and financial reporting processes, managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, medical billing, and payroll to ensure precise financial documentation.
  • Enhance financial returns and safeguard assets by developing, implementing, and enforcing accounting policies, procedures, and reporting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local regulations; stay informed about legislative changes and advise management accordingly.
  • Conduct regulatory reporting, including tax compliance and planning.
  • Maintain and oversee company ledgers, ensuring accurate journal entries, account reconciliations, and timely closing of financial records.
  • Manage cash flow effectively.
  • Prepare the annual budget utilizing financial data and schedules; ensure adherence to budgetary goals.
  • Develop and track performance metrics.
  • Lead special projects as assigned by management, providing essential information for strategic decision-making.
  • Recruit, mentor, and supervise accounting personnel to foster professional development and compliance with company standards.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of all financial and accounting information.
  • Continuously update knowledge of accounting and finance trends and practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • CPA certification is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in both public accounting and the healthcare sector is preferred; familiarity with multi-state operations is a plus.
  • Medical billing experience is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, with advanced expertise in MS Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
