Position Overview: Laboratory Research Specialist
The Laboratory Research Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and executing various testing initiatives within the organization. This role involves significant collaboration with technical personnel to ensure adherence to safety protocols and provide timely updates on project progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate testing projects, ensuring effective organization and scheduling.
- Work closely with technical teams to uphold workplace safety standards and communicate project developments.
- Adhere to established testing and safety protocols for the handling of chemical and pharmaceutical substances.
- Analyze data obtained from various instrumentation, including gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (LC) systems.
- Engage in brainstorming sessions to contribute innovative ideas for projects and enhance work processes.
- Develop and refine analytical methodologies while maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Prioritize accurate documentation and meticulous record-keeping.
- Draft proposals, safety protocols, and comprehensive test plans.
- Conduct chemical analyses to support ongoing projects.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required.
- Experience in a laboratory environment, particularly with chromatography systems and other analytical methodologies.
- Strong understanding of organic synthesis, extraction techniques, preparation of analytical standards, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Commitment to safety compliance and relevant training.
- Excellent report writing and data analysis skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
