Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Generalist to support our operating units by implementing human resources programs and serving as a resource for performance management, human resources services, employee relations, retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations.

About the Role

The Human Resources Generalist will develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommending courses of action. This role will foster teamwork, cross-functional communication, personal growth, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acts as an employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs.
  • Formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • Conducts daily meetings with respective client groups and consults with management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Manages company responses to unemployment claims to ensure successful results.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation and partners with Recruiting department in developing contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Conducts exit interviews with employees leaving the company to assess overall success of employment relationship and opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources or Operations experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • Fundamental knowledge of human resource management and knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate logically and clearly in a group or individual setting.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • General experience with HRIS (Oracle, Kronos) and ATS (Taleo) system preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and adapt to changing work requirements.
  • Self-directed, multi-tasking, hands-on, and action-oriented with the ability to perform in high-pressure and dynamic situations.
  • Goal-oriented and customer-focused with ability to exercise great initiative independent judgment.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
