We are seeking a senior IT systems administrator to support our 60+ person team of engineers, surveyors, and administrative professionals. This role involves providing network and information technology support by overseeing the network and servers, managing workstations, electronic devices, and software, and IT troubleshooting. Work will be based in our Collinsville, IL office with occasional travel to our branch offices in Belleville, IL, St. Louis, MO, and St. Charles, MO.
Key qualifications include:
- 3 to 5+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or a relevant field.
- Experience with VMware management, 365 management, and network administration.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivation with forward-thinking ideas to leverage technology to drive innovation and efficiency for the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining network infrastructure 24/7, including updating and upgrading servers, daily backups, disaster recovery, and off-site storage.
- Managing over 100 workstations, including setup, imaging, and maintenance.
- Overseeing various electronic devices, including cell phones, tablets, and notebooks, with mobile VPN and remote access setup, updates, and maintenance.
- Overseeing software licensing, installation, and updates and coordinating with project managers on needs, purchases, and renewals.
- Providing support for remote office connections and work-from-home setups, including VPN and LMI setup, maintenance, and managing user accounts.
- Managing hardware and software service contracts and overseeing maintenance for routers, firewalls, printers, and other equipment.
- Managing audio/visual and computer setup for conference rooms across multiple offices and supporting as needed for limited off-site meetings.
- Overseeing the IT Help Desk with technical awareness and the ability to solve technical issues.
- Developing and managing the IT budget and collaborating on budget items with project managers.
- Establishing and enforcing IT policies.
