Job Description:

The DBA coordinates initial installation and configuration of a new database with system administrators. The system administrator sets up hardware, then the DBA installs the database software and configures it for use. The DBA handles on-going maintenance of the Solution’s databases and database systems. The DBA handles the transfer of data from the existing system to the new platform.
