**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Psychologist to join our team as a Clinical Psychology Specialist at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Phoenix. In this role, you will provide high-quality mental health services to inmates, working closely with subordinate psychological staff to ensure excellent patient care.

About the Position

  • This is a full-time employment opportunity with a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

  • You will be responsible for screening inmates referred for psychiatric and mental health services, making appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment, conducting psychological assessments, and administering and interpreting diagnostic measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen inmates referred for psychiatric and mental health services.
  • Make appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment.
  • Conduct psychological assessments.
  • Administer and interpret diagnostic measures.
  • Provide individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, and other therapeutic interventions.
  • Formulate short-term and long-term psychological treatment goals for inmates.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic services.

Requirements

  • A valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board.
  • One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation, or behavioral dysfunction.
  • Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA.
