Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Technician to join our team as an Educational Services Specialist. As a key member of our therapy teams, you will work one-on-one with clients in a school setting under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Responsibilities

">
  • Assist in the implementation of positive behavior support plans, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and/or 504 plans using ABA principles in the school setting.
  • Provide direct 1:1 and/or small group therapy to identified students to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction interventions as directed by the BCBA.
  • Implement and report data on programs such as student IEP goals, behavioral management, social skills, and academic areas.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and assist with the training of school district staff.
  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for students and school teams.
  • Implement students' behavior intervention plans and/or safety plans developed by the BCBA.
  • Collect and analyze skill acquisition and challenging behavior data with oversight and supervision provided by a BCBA.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in behavioral health, early childhood education, psychology, special education, or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various schools within assigned region.
  • Ability to acquire RBT certification within 45 days of hire date with training provided by Surpass Behavioral Health.
  • Prior professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting is a plus.
  • Works with integrity and adheres to the BACB Ethical Code, HIPAA practices, and company policies.
  • Ability to move freely, quickly, and frequently from a seated position to a standing position as well as lift items up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Estimated Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000 per year
