Job Summary

Nordson is a global leader in high-precision sensor technology, specializing in 3D machine vision and semiconductor process measurement.

Our sensors are deployed in electronics and semiconductor factories worldwide, and the device you are using to read this notice likely contains integrated circuits inspected by our sensors during their manufacture.

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to play a key role in our R&D team, designing the next generation of high-precision electronics and semiconductor inspection sensors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design electronic circuits for sensors that perform 3D machine vision inspection of semiconductor and electronic assemblies.
  • Solve challenging problems with creative designs using simulations, prototype testing, and feasibility studies.
  • Interpret internal and customer requirements and translate them into product specifications and design concepts.
  • Supervise PCB layout that packages electronics into challenging spaces and environments.
  • Project planning, estimating tasks, resources, schedules, NRE, production costs, and manufacturing support.
  • Manage suppliers that fabricate prototype and production electrical designs.
  • Verification testing of designs to confirm compliance to product specifications.
  • Design products to meet CE and other international regulations.
  • Support product's transition to production and customer field issues.
Requirements
  • MS Electrical Engineering degree preferred, or BS considered with additional experience.
  • 5+ Years work experience desired.
