Food Science Innovation Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious student to join our Technical Service team as a Food Science Customer Innovation Intern for summer 2025. As part of the CATALYST Program, you will provide technical support to the program and related customers in the US/Canada region via new product development and the creation of customer-valued solutions.
The CATALYST program is a holistic product development service model that focuses on translating customer ideas into tangible, market-ready products. You will be responsible for taking lab-scale concepts and scaling them up in the food pilot plant to produce high-quality prototypes.
You will perform research-related duties as needed or assigned, execute on analytical testing, and document and prepare technical reports with guidance from your manager.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing work projects to meet project timelines and deliverables
- Analyzing and understanding data, results, and scientific literature to advance projects
- Maintaining a clean, safe work environment and following established guidelines for good housekeeping, GMPs, SafeServ, and safety
- Working collaboratively with the Technical Service team and other internal subject matter experts to identify formulation challenges, solve problems, and develop new, innovative ideas
- Presenting prototypes, project status, updates, and outcomes to the team and key stakeholders
- Composing presentations and technical reports on project findings
To be eligible for consideration, candidates must:
- Currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Progress towards a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food or Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a minimum GPA of at least 3.0/4.0
- Have completed at least two years of coursework with status as a sophomore, junior, or non-graduating senior
