As a Ground Support Equipment Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting inspections and performing maintenance on ground support equipment utilized in aviation operations.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and overhauling ground support machinery.
  • Refueling and servicing ground support equipment with necessary fluids such as fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluids.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves various essential functions, some of which may be performed in diverse weather conditions, including precipitation, extreme temperatures, and exposure to noise and fumes. Duties will be carried out both indoors and outdoors, in proximity to stationary and moving aircraft.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED with at least one year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.

  • Preferred experience with ground support equipment or heavy machinery.
  • Possession of personal tools is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • Certification from a vocational institution or completion of an apprenticeship is advantageous.
  • Preferred ASE certification.

Compensation varies based on factors such as skills, education, shift, responsibilities, seniority, geographic location, and prior experience. The pay rate for this position is $38.50 per hour.
