Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator (Administrative Support)
  • Full-Time Role
  • 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts from 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday to Friday

Role Summary: This position provides comprehensive clerical and administrative assistance while coordinating patient care activities within a medical practice setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage and organize patient appointments, securing necessary authorizations for tests, referrals, surgical interventions, and hospital admissions.
  2. Handle financial reconciliations and prepare daily deposit reports.
  3. Oversee patient check-in, registration, and checkout processes.
  4. Coordinate physician schedules, including meetings, educational sessions, and inpatient rounds.
  5. Maintain inventory and order office supplies to ensure operational efficiency while adhering to budgetary constraints.
  6. Engage in workflow reengineering and process enhancement initiatives to align with programs such as Patient-Centered Medical Home and Meaningful Use.
  7. Conduct audits and assist in tracking and reporting relevant information as required.
  8. Serve as a super user for telecommunication and scheduling systems.
  9. Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
  10. Comply with all responsibilities associated with the position.
  11. Embody and promote the core values of Nuvance Health.
  12. Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
  13. Perform additional duties as necessary.

Additional Information:
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience in Practice Management Systems, Medical Office environments, and Hospital Scheduling is preferred.

Compensation:
$29.51 per hour, based on years of relevant experience.
