Job Title: Patient Care Coordinator (Administrative Support)
- Full-Time Role
- 40 hours per week, with 8-hour shifts from 8:45 AM to 5:15 PM, Monday to Friday
Role Summary: This position provides comprehensive clerical and administrative assistance while coordinating patient care activities within a medical practice setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and organize patient appointments, securing necessary authorizations for tests, referrals, surgical interventions, and hospital admissions.
- Handle financial reconciliations and prepare daily deposit reports.
- Oversee patient check-in, registration, and checkout processes.
- Coordinate physician schedules, including meetings, educational sessions, and inpatient rounds.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies to ensure operational efficiency while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Engage in workflow reengineering and process enhancement initiatives to align with programs such as Patient-Centered Medical Home and Meaningful Use.
- Conduct audits and assist in tracking and reporting relevant information as required.
- Serve as a super user for telecommunication and scheduling systems.
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Comply with all responsibilities associated with the position.
- Embody and promote the core values of Nuvance Health.
- Demonstrate consistent and reliable attendance.
- Perform additional duties as necessary.
Additional Information:
Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience in Practice Management Systems, Medical Office environments, and Hospital Scheduling is preferred.
Compensation:
$29.51 per hour, based on years of relevant experience.
