Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inspector V to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an Inspector V, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of residents in long-term care facilities across Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and resolve issues.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports documenting findings, recommended remedies, and narratives to support regulatory determinations.
  • Participate in surveys, inspections, and investigations with assigned teams and accept assignments as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use computer software for writing reports and other tasks.
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment and reach sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of program regulations and procedures, survey techniques, and acceptable professional standards of care.
