Job Title: Inspector V

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inspector V to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As an Inspector V, you will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct on-site inspections and investigations in long-term care facilities to assess compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and address issues.
Complete inspection reports detailing deficiencies, recommended remedies, and narratives to support regulatory findings.
Visit facilities to verify correction of previously cited regulatory violations.
Perform quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others.
Testify at hearings or in court proceedings to provide information regarding policy/procedures, history, findings, or activities.

Requirements:
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment.
Ability to use computer software for writing reports.
Ability to integrate complex regulatory concepts, procedures, or processes.
Ability to multi-task and track multiple activities with competing priorities.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and others.
Knowledge of program regulations and procedures, and survey techniques.
Knowledge of acceptable professional standards of care.
Skill in operating personal computers and software.
