Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all tax compliance activities, including the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations.
- Formulate and execute strategic tax planning for federal and state obligations.
- Lead the tax team in preparing components of the company's federal and state tax returns.
- Investigate and resolve tax-related issues, leveraging expertise to minimize liabilities and risks.
- Coordinate audits conducted by various tax authorities.
- Negotiate with tax authorities regarding payment matters.
- Advise management on the implications of new legislation on tax obligations.
- Oversee tax provision preparation and related financial reporting.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis initiatives.
- Stay updated on current developments in tax regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.
- At least 3 years of experience in a tax manager or public accounting capacity.
- Extensive experience in tax preparation for individuals, partnerships, and S corporations.
- Proven leadership and team development capabilities.
- Strong research and compliance proficiency.
- Familiarity with tax preparation software and reporting tools.
- Exceptional client service skills and the ability to cultivate strong client relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Detail-oriented with robust analytical skills.
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
