About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team at Ochsner Health. As a PICU Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to critically ill children and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient progress, including vital signs, lab results, and treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pediatric or critical care setting.
