About the Role

HunaTek Government Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Cost Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our government clients in the Northern Virginia area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive cost analyses to evaluate client programs, including life cycle cost estimates, Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) cost estimates, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), and ad hoc cost studies.
  • Develop Cost Analysis Requirements Descriptions (CARDs) and lead program office estimate activities.
  • Lead and manage program office estimate activities, including developing, updating, and applying mathematical and logical methodologies for estimating program costs.
  • Lead efforts in collecting, normalizing, and analyzing complex data, and build and defend budget requirements.
  • Forecast future funding needs, evaluate contracting strategy and courses of action, and conduct planning for acquisition of capabilities.
  • Identify sustainment cost impacts of acquisition decisions, manage solution delivery to a baselined schedule, and provide a basis and supporting materials for briefings to management at the executive and oversight levels.
  • Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet organizational and project goals, and lead in the preparation of briefing materials and other communications packages presenting the results of analysis.
  • Communicate and work with diverse organizations and representatives for data collection, analysis, and results presentation, and provide thought leadership clearly demonstrating an understanding of the customer mission and innovative ideas to address business challenges of the customer.
Requirements
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and uncertainty/risk software packages.
  • Knowledge of the Government Acquisition Programs.
  • Ability to lead detail-oriented tasks and multi-task under minimal supervision, and present analytical results to senior leaders/stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage and work with large data sets, and possession of excellent data gathering and analytical skills.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: Proficiency with Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT), Crystal Ball or SEER for IT, and Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA) or Professional Cost Estimator/Analyst (PCEA) certification.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or business).
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience performing cost analyses for DoD, intelligence, or civil agency programs, with prior experience in Navy/Marine Corps sector preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting Government Acquisition Programs, and preferred prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Programs (ACAT I-IV) and financial management and program management experience.
