Responsibilities- Diagnose and treat patients under general supervision, utilizing your expertise in nursing and medical knowledge.
- Facilitate communication between the healthcare team, patients, and their families to ensure continuity of care.
- Coordinate patient care to ensure quality, effective care, and patient safety.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in nursing, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
- Meet the education and experience requirements for state recognition and obtain APRN recognition within six months of hire.
- Hold current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and DEA/CDS eligibility.
- Demonstrate professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, publishing, and/or certification in your area of specialty.
- Provide care that is sensitive to the needs of diverse patient populations, including those with varying ages and health conditions.
- Maintain effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Stay current with mandatory training and updates, as well as recommended immunizations.
- Master of Science degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
- Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses.
- Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland.
- A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
