Community Support Specialist

Role Summary:


The Community Support Specialist is tasked with ensuring the safety and oversight of individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, as well as those with behavioral health backgrounds, to promote healthy and socially appropriate behaviors within community-based environments.

This role involves collaboration with clinical personnel, executing residential interventions, and aiding clients in meeting their therapeutic goals.

The Specialist is accountable for adhering to the directives outlined in the client's individualized support plan.

The Specialist will encourage or assist, as needed, to guarantee that clients engage in daily living activities, both at home and in the community.

A dedication to the core values of Superior Staffing LLC should be evident in the execution of job responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Support:
Oversee individuals in alignment with their Person-Centered Support Plan

  • Administer medications as required
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and toileting, as appropriate
  • Facilitate Community Integration Activities and access to community resources, including medical appointments and social services.

Documentation:
Complete necessary paperwork promptly

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:
A High School diploma or GED is mandatory; an associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred

  • Basic proficiency in computer and internet usage, with the capability to utilize applications for data entry and retrieval as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
Prior experience in the human services sector is advantageous.
Possession of a valid driver's license
Subject to employment background checks, including necessary clearances.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Afternoon to evening shifts

Hourly Compensation: $17.55

*Shift timings will remain consistent, while shift days may vary; however, a commitment of 40 hours per week is expected.

*Please be aware that employees are required to remain on duty until their replacement arrives.
