Job Summary:
The Special Events Supervisor is a critical role within AMR Corp. responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of ambulance services during special events in the Greater New York City area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and Direct Special Events Employees: Ensure that the right personnel are in place to provide exceptional medical services during events.
- Coordinate with Recruitment Team: Work closely with the recruitment team to maintain an adequate pool of special event personnel.
- Customer Interface: Serve as the primary point of contact for CrowdRx and special events customers regarding ambulance coverage.
- Operational Support: Provide direction and oversight to operational support staff as needed.
- Policy and Procedure Development: Ensure that written policies and procedures are in place for each venue and maintain and update them as necessary.
- Quality Field Operations: Ensure the maintenance of quality field operations through daily contact, oversight, communication, and evaluation of ambulance staff.
- Equipment and Supply Management: Assess daily equipment, supply, and vehicle needs for events and coordinate service as necessary.
- Reimbursement and Reporting: Ensure that daily medical event service hours are reconciled and submitted for reimbursement.
- Operational Response Exceptions: Ensure that 100% of operational response exceptions are brought to closure with appropriate action.
- Customer and Staff Inquiries: Respond to and resolve customer and staff inquiries and complaints in a consistent and timely fashion.
- Event Investigations: Investigate events involving assigned units or staff, including the completion of internal reports, operational leadership notification, counseling, reinforcing policy, and recommending training as necessary.
- Attendance and Adherence: Maintain punctual and regular attendance and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- EMS Provider Experience: Minimum of three (3) years' experience as an EMS provider.
- Special Events Experience: Special events experience preferred.
- Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills and Experience: Demonstrated skills and experience in evaluating, instructing, and coaching all aspects of the delivery of pre-hospital care.
- Operations Knowledge: Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of operations protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Certifications: Current State certification as an EMT or higher as well as all AMR requirements.
- Disciplinary Action: No written disciplinary action within the past six (6) months of employment.
- Communication Skills: Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
