Clinical Nursing Director

At American Medical Associates, we are seeking an experienced Clinical Nursing Director to join our team in Oswego, NY. This role is ideal for a skilled professional looking to advance their career in long term care. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the development of resident assessments and care plans, as well as maintaining written policies and procedures that implement MDS and care planning.
The salary for this position is estimated at $85K to $90K per year, based on experience. To be eligible, candidates must have a New York RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience in long term care. Strong leadership skills and knowledge of MDS 3.0 are also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and coordinate the development of resident assessments (MDS)
- Maintain and periodically update written policies and procedures that implement MDS and care plan
- Assist residents in completing the care plan portion of their discharge plan
- Develop and implement procedures with the Director of Nursing Services to inform all assessment team members of the arrival of newly admitted residents
- Assist Facility directors and supervisors in scheduling resident assessment and care plan meetings
