We are currently seeking a Service Writer & Field Dispatcher. While experience with heavy machinery is advantageous, backgrounds in the automotive sector may also be applicable.

As a Service Writer, you will interact directly with clients, service technicians, and various departments to effectively coordinate and schedule both preventative and necessary maintenance tasks. Your role will be pivotal in facilitating service requests between customers and technicians.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take proactive ownership of the customer experience
  • Oversee work orders: initiating, concluding, documenting time, entering notes, and tracking progress
  • Generate precise cost estimates for repairs and communicate them to customers
  • Manage accounts receivable efficiently
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, technicians, and the service manager
  • Provide regular updates on work orders, troubleshooting efforts, technician status, and general inquiries
  • Monitor incoming calls for field technicians and customer inquiries
  • Perform various administrative tasks as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment service technician or service writer
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork capabilities
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient in computer operations, with experience in G-Suite and other service-related software
  • A commitment to workplace safety and accountability
