JOB SUMMARY

Schedule: Monday-Friday 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, Call, possible Holidays

The LPN will function as a Technician but must possess LPN credentials due to additional Point of Care Testing responsibilities.

Anesthesiologists specialize in pain management and have a variety of duties, including:
  • Administering pain relief prior to, during, and post medical procedures
  • Monitoring patients' vital signs throughout procedures
  • Overseeing anesthesia assistants and certified registered nurse anesthetists
  • Authorizing general, sedative, regional, or local anesthetics
  • Reviewing medical records and laboratory results
  • Informing patients about the risks associated with anesthesia
  • Adhering to medical and hospital procedural policies
QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Skilled in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective oral and written communication abilities.
  • Able to prioritize and plan work tasks efficiently.
  • Capable of setting and achieving challenging objectives.
REQUIRED:
  • Two (2) years of experience is highly preferred.
License/Registration/Certification
  • Active, unencumbered LPN license in New York State
  • BLS/ACLS Certifications from the American Heart Association only. No exceptions.
Education and Training
  • Completion of a one-year degree from an accredited nursing (LPN) program.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to push, pull, bend, and ambulate without assistance.
