The Sous Chef Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food and standards are maintained at all times. This includes managing kitchen functions, purchasing, storage, inventory, and preparation of food products, as well as upholding a standard of excellence in safety and sanitation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, presentation, and plating.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure consistency and quality in food preparation and presentation.
- Conduct regular tastings to maintain consistency and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with the Front of House team to ensure seamless service and address guest feedback.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including inventory management and cash handling.
- Ensure compliance with Snooze's safety and sanitation guidelines and protocols.
Requirements
- 2+ years of operations experience and 1+ years of leadership experience.
- Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register and Point of Sale system.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time and have the stamina to work 45 to 50 hours per week.
- Knowledge of food, beverage, and safety generally.
