Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. in Austell, Georgia.

Job Summary:

The MRI Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI procedures using various techniques and protocols to obtain high-quality images.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent.
  • Position patients correctly and safely on the MRI table.
  • Operate MRI equipment, including adjusting settings and monitoring patient safety.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of procedures and patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in MRI or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in MRI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MRI equipment and software.
  • Knowledge of MRI protocols and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
