Job Title: MRI Technologist

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Douglas Hospital in Douglasville, Georgia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform MRI procedures using various techniques and protocols to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the purpose and nature of the exam, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate MRI equipment, including setting up and calibrating the machine, and ensuring proper maintenance and cleaning.
  • Review and analyze images to ensure quality and accuracy, and release patients after procedures.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to maintain high standards of patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) or equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in MRI.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy and pathology.
