Key Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information regarding various cannabis products, including their types, methods of use, and effectiveness (note: medical advice is not provided).
  • Commit to ongoing education and training in cannabis knowledge.
  • Support management and fellow Cannabis Advisors as needed.
  • Keep the workstation and store front clean, organized, and sanitized.
  • Verify the accuracy of online orders prior to customer pick-up.
  • Understand and implement compliance regulations as mandated by local and state laws.
  • Restock, merchandise, and replenish displays of both regulated and unregulated inventory.
  • Process transactions at the point of sale and ensure accurate updates to the state-monitored inventory system (e.g., METRC, BioTrack).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail or hospitality.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and adhere to all local, state, and company regulations.
  • Undergo a criminal background check and obtain necessary state badging as required.
  • Willingness to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product usage methods.
  • Proficient in using office equipment (computers, printers) and software applications such as Word, Excel, and email.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local laws related to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.
Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, experience in the cannabis industry or related fields is advantageous.

Physical and Mental Requirements

This position requires the employee to frequently remain stationary, communicate effectively, and handle objects or tools. The ability to lift packages weighing up to 20 lbs is necessary, and standing for up to 90% of the time is expected. Hearing abilities must include normal audio range, with or without correction, and vision capabilities must include close observation and focus adjustment. The mental and physical demands outlined here represent the requirements that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this role.

The work is conducted in a retail setting with a moderate noise level. The characteristics of the work environment described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
