Job Overview: We are currently seeking a Cafeteria Operations Manager with experience in hospitality. If you are enthusiastic about creating outstanding customer experiences and appreciate the structure and benefits of working within a hotel environment, you will thrive at Omni.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all associates under your supervision.
  • Utilize a hands-on approach to train and develop kitchen staff.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of refrigeration, coolers, service equipment, and working areas in accordance with health regulations.
  • Possess a solid understanding of cooking fundamentals, including sauces, soups, and salads.
  • Supervise food preparation, ensuring quality, freshness, and balanced nutrition.
  • Set up and maintain service stations and supplies.
  • Develop and post weekly menus.
  • Ensure consistent quality, portion control, and presentation of food items.
  • Conduct daily inspections of food served.
  • Prepare weekly schedules for hourly associates.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures.
  • Assist in ordering food supplies for daily menu service.
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs with kitchen staff prior to service.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to endure exposure to heat, steam, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience in a similar food and beverage role is required.
  • Possession of a Serve Safe certificate is mandatory.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas at all times.
  • Culinary education is preferred but not essential.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.
  • Demonstrate ownership of tasks and follow through to achieve results.
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment meet health department standards.
  • Effective oral communication skills in English are necessary.
